Nexar Training Academy is approved by the Government of South Australia Office of Consumer and Business Services to deliver this course across South Australia. This course meets the licencing requirements in South Australia for Security Officer, Crowd-Venue Control and General Guarding. The qualification reflects the role of a Security Officer, responsible for maintaining safety and security by patrolling, protecting or guarding property while unarmed, and screening entry, monitoring behaviour, and removing persons from premises. Employment as a Security Officer may include roles in crowd control, mobile patrol, shopping centres, retail security, festival and event security, hotel security, concierge, and pub and club security.
